Kappa Reefable Genoa

Go from light air to storm conditions without the worry of changing sails!

• One sail replaces an entire inventory of headsails.
• Fewer crosscut seams to stretch and need restitching in a few years.
• The outer sailcloth is heavier and can be UV treated, so it's made for the stronger winds and sun when reefed.

Durability

Triangles are the weakness in conventional sails, since they cut across the strong yarns in the fabric. Instead, the Kappa Cut uses parallelograms which maintain the fabric's integrity. Sails made from parallelograms last twice as long as their triangular gored counterparts.

Better Strength:

Overlapping parallelograms increase the strength factor. More overlaps in higher load areas eliminate heavy corner reinforcements. The result is a divergence of yarns from the corners that conform to the load pathways in the sail, so the sail stretches less.

Superior Speed:

Kappa Sails flatten and have less drag than the competitor's sails as the wind increases, since the curved yarn paths straighten under load.

An all -purpose reaching and running spinnaker to take you from 65^o to 180^o apparent wind angles.

All radial panel construction offers horizontal middle panels to rotate panels and a continuity of depth not offered by any other sailmaker.
